Automate your video marketing: from monday.com to the calendar to Slack

Reigniter Automations turns a monday.com item, Jira ticket or blog post into a branded video, schedules it on your channels and tells the team in Slack.

Making one good advert is a job. Making one every week, posting it on time, and telling the team it went out is a second job nobody has time for.

That second job is what Reigniter Automations is for. Something happens in a tool you already use; a branded video gets made; it goes onto your channels; your team hears about it. We make Reigniter, so this is a product note: what you can wire up today, how, and what is not there yet.

The shape of every automation

Every automation is a trigger and some steps:

  • The trigger is the thing that starts it. A new item on a monday.com board. A Jira ticket moving to Done. A new post on your blog. Every Monday morning. A video finishing. A learner passing a module.
  • The steps are what happens next. Make a video on your brand kit. Publish it. Email you. Message the team. Copy the file to your own storage.

You build it in the visual builder, or you start from one of our templates and fill in the blanks.

From the tools your team already uses

The ideas for your next advert are usually written down somewhere else. So the templates start there:

TemplateWhat it doesWhat it needs
Turn each new monday.com item into a videoA new item on your video-requests board becomes a branded video, and the link is posted back on the itemYour monday.com API token, the board, your brand
Turn finished Jira work into a feature videoAn issue labelled for video reaches Done; a short feature video is made and the link is commented on the issueYour Jira email and API token, a filter, your brand
Turn each new Airtable record into a videoA new record in your content table becomes a video, and the link is written back into itYour Airtable access token, the table, your brand
Turn each new Google Sheets row into a videoA brief in column A of a new row becomes a video; its link lands in column BA free Google service account with the sheet shared to it
Turn every new blog post into a videoYour blog's RSS feed triggers a short videoThe feed address, your brand
A fresh video every MondayA new branded video on a theme you set, every weekThe theme, your brand
Make a video from any appA secure web address any tool can call with a briefA secret and your brand

Every one of these uses your brand kit. Your logo, colours, fonts and end card come from the brand system you set up once, so the hundredth automatic video still looks like you.

Onto the calendar and out to your channels

Add a Publish a video step and the finished video goes to a LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram account you connected in Reigniter. Leave the time empty and it posts straight away. Set a time and it waits on your calendar in Ad manager, next to everything you scheduled by hand, with the video's picture on the day it goes out.

That means one place to look. Posts made by a person and posts made by an automation sit on the same calendar, and the Post published and Post failed triggers let a second automation react to either, for example by emailing you when a platform refuses a post.

YouTube and TikTok are in each platform's approval process. We will add them to the Publish step when they are approved, and not before.

Tell the team where they already are

The Message your team channel step posts to Slack, Microsoft Teams or Discord through the channel's webhook link. The templates use it in two places:

  • Tell the team when a video is ready. Each finished video lands in the channel with its download link.
  • Celebrate passes in your team channel. When someone passes a training module, the channel sees their name and score.

Prefer email? Email me when a video is ready, Email me if a video fails and Warn me when credits run low do the same to your inbox.

It works for training too

If you run interactive training, the same builder chases the paperwork:

  • Invite every new starter to their training, from your HR system or a form.
  • Chase overdue training: a reminder to the learner and a note to their manager.
  • Re-train before certificates expire: an invitation a month before a certificate lapses.
  • Keep a training register in Google Sheets, or record every pass in Arlo.

A week, wired up

Put three templates together and a week runs like this. On Monday morning a fresh video on your theme is made on your brand kit. Through the week, every new item on your video-requests board in monday.com becomes another one, with the link posted back on the item. Each finished video lands in your Slack channel, and the ones you publish sit on your calendar until they go out. You spend your time on the ideas, not the uploads.

What it costs

Automations come with every paid plan. A step that makes a video spends that video's credits, the same as making it in the studio, and a video that fails refunds what it charged. Emails, team messages and publishing steps cost nothing. See pricing for the plans.

Where it stops

  • Paid ads are not in Automations yet. The steps post organic content; they do not start ad spend.
  • YouTube and TikTok posting are waiting on platform approval.
  • Your other tools connect with your own keys. monday.com, Jira, Airtable and Google Sheets use a token or service account you create in that tool. We never ask for your password.

Try it

See what the builder looks like on the Automations page, read the automations docs, or start free and set up your brand kit first.

Frequently asked questions

No. Pick a template, fill in what it needs (a channel's webhook link, a board to watch, your brand) and switch it on. You can also build a flow from scratch in the visual builder: a trigger, then steps.

Reigniter

Make the video. Keep the brand.

Build your brand kit once, then make adverts, product stills, motion graphics and interactive training from it. Every action shows its credit cost before it runs.
