Colossyan made presenter-led training video affordable for small teams, and its Professional plan still has the lowest-priced SCORM export we found. Teams look for alternatives when they hit a monthly limit, want to see who finished a course without buying an LMS, or need the same tool to make their marketing video in the same brand.

We make Reigniter, so it is listed first and we are not neutral. Every other tool here gets a genuine "best for". Prices were read on each vendor's own pricing or help page on 17 October 2026 and are monthly in US dollars unless we say otherwise.

Key takeaways

  • Reigniter is best for tracked training without an LMS, and for teams that also make marketing video.
  • Synthesia is best for enterprise-scale training with built-in learner data.
  • HeyGen is best for presenter training in many languages.
  • Elai is best for low-cost presenter training on a small team.
  • Vyond is best for animated character scenarios.
  • Colossyan itself remains the lowest-priced SCORM export we found.

How we compared them

We asked every tool the same five questions:

  1. Interactivity: quizzes, branching and a pass mark.
  2. LMS delivery: which SCORM version, and on which plan.
  3. Tracking: can you see who finished without an LMS?
  4. Brand: can the training match your marketing?
  5. Price, from the vendor's own page on 17 October 2026.

Our limits, honestly: we did not build the same course in every tool, so there are no scores. A tick means "documented by the vendor", not "tested by us". Several pricing pages draw their feature grids as icons, so where a plan could not be read we say so. Test a SCORM package in your own LMS before you commit.

The 5 best Colossyan alternatives

1. Reigniter: Best for tracked training without an LMS

Reigniter turns a PowerPoint, PDF, document, URL or script into an interactive module with an AI presenter, quizzes, branching and a pass mark. Export it as SCORM 1.2 for your LMS, send xAPI statements to your own LRS, or share it as a link. The share player does an LMS's job for a small team: named learners, invites, one attempt, a timer, live results, exports and certificates with an expiry date. More in training without an LMS.

The same brand kit that styles the module also makes your adverts and product stills, so onboarding and the launch advert look like one company.

Price: Interactive Training is $149 a month with 385 credits and 5 seats. Agency is $199 with 515 credits. The planner shows a module's cost before anything runs. See pricing.

Trade-offs: SCORM 1.2 only, not 2004; the video streams, so learners need internet access; and Reigniter is new, with no public reviews yet.

Choose Reigniter when you want to see who finished and passed without buying an LMS, or the same team makes training and marketing.

2. Synthesia: Best for enterprise-scale training

Synthesia's help centre shows per-learner quiz results from a share page or embed on Enterprise, with no sign-in needed; named learners need SCORM or single sign-on. Its pricing page lists SCORM export and brand kits on Enterprise, and interactive videos (buttons and branching) from Pro.

Price (synthesia.io/pricing, checked 17 October 2026): Basic $0, Starter $29, Pro $89, Enterprise on request. Credits reset each month without rolling over.

Choose Synthesia when you buy at enterprise scale and want learner data built in.

3. HeyGen: Best for presenter training in many languages

HeyGen lists 175+ languages on paid plans, and puts SCORM export and interactive video (quizzes and links) on Business and up.

Price (heygen.com/pricing, checked 17 October 2026): Free $0, Creator $29, Pro $49, Business $149 plus $20 a seat.

Trade-off: SCORM and quizzes both need Business, so a single trainer pays the team price.

Choose HeyGen when one course must reach many languages with a presenter in each.

4. Elai: Best for low-cost presenter training

Elai lists branching, buttons, hotspots and quizzes, with video analytics for views and watch time. Its pricing grid did not let us read which plan carries each one, and SCORM appears to be on Enterprise only.

Price (elai.io/pricing, checked 17 October 2026): Free (1 minute), Creator $29 (15 minutes), Team $125 (50 minutes), Enterprise on request; yearly billing is lower.

Choose Elai when a small team needs presenter training at a low monthly price.

5. Vyond: Best for animated scenarios

Vyond makes animated character video, a good fit for soft-skills role plays, with translation into 95 languages from its Professional plan. Its pricing page lists SCORM on Enterprise and Agency.

Price (vyond.com/pricing, checked 17 October 2026): Starter $99 a month or $58 billed yearly, Professional $199 or $100 billed yearly; Enterprise and Agency are billed yearly.

Choose Vyond when your training is told through animated characters rather than a presenter.

Colossyan, for comparison

Colossyan's Starter plan is free without a card. Professional is $59 a month on yearly billing, plus $30 for each extra editor, with 5 SCORM exports a month and 15 interactive videos a month. Enterprise is on request, with unlimited SCORM and analytics (colossyan.com/pricing, checked 17 October 2026). It lists 120+ languages.

Stay with Colossyan when SCORM at the lowest price matters most and its monthly limits fit your volume.
