Build an automation

An automation is a flow: a trigger, then one or more steps. For example, a learner fails a module (the trigger), email their manager (the step). You build flows in Automations, in the main menu.

Plans

Automations are included on every paid plan. Steps that make videos use your credits, exactly as if you made the video yourself. Training steps need Interactive or Agency.

Start from a template

A template is a finished flow. Reigniter builds it in your Automations workspace, switched off, so it cannot spend anything until you have checked it and turned it on. You find the templates under Start from a template on the Automations page, and on the builder’s own Explore page.

Email me when a video is ready	The moment a video finishes, you get an email with a download link that works for 7 days.
Tell the team when a video is ready	Posts each finished video to a Slack, Microsoft Teams or Discord channel.
Make a video from any app	A secure web address your other tools can call with a brief. Each call makes a branded video.
Turn every new blog post into a video	Watches your blog’s RSS feed and makes a short video about each new post.
A fresh video every Monday	A new branded video on the theme you set, every Monday morning.
Email me if a video fails	Hear straight away if a video cannot be made. Unused credits are refunded automatically.
Invite every new starter to their training	Your HR system sends a name and email; they are added and emailed their training.
Chase overdue training	When someone misses their due date, they get a reminder and their manager is told.
Tell the manager when someone fails	The manager gets an email with the score.
Re-train before certificates expire	A month before a certificate lapses, the person is invited again with a 30-day deadline.
Remove leavers from training	Your HR system sends a leaver’s email; their training link stops working and their records are kept.
Celebrate passes in your team channel	Posts each pass, with the score, to Slack, Teams or Discord.
Email me when someone fails / every training result / Weekly training report	Results by email: per failure, per finish, or a Monday summary.
Warn me when credits run low	An email when your balance drops to 10 credits.

1. Open Automations in the main menu.

2. Under Start from a template, select one. Reigniter builds it and opens it in the builder.

3. Fill in anything the card says you need (for example your team channel’s webhook link, or the training module).

4. Test the flow, then turn it on.

Your Reigniter connection

There is nothing to set up. The first time you open Automations, Reigniter connects the builder to your account. The connection only works for the Reigniter steps; it is not an API key and it does not appear on your API keys page.

The Reigniter steps

Step	What it does
Make a video	A branded video from a brief. Pick the brand, the kind of video, the shape (9:16, 16:9, 1:1, 4:5), the length and the language, and optionally a product photo. A run that is retried is never charged twice.
Get a video	The status, title and a download link that works for 7 days.
Add a learner	Adds a person (with their manager’s email, if you have it). Nothing happens if they are already there.
Invite a learner to a module	Adds them if needed, assigns the module, optionally sets a deadline, and emails them their training page.
Remove a learner (leaver)	Their training link stops working. Their results are kept.
Send a learner a reminder	Emails them their training page again, with your note.
Email a learner’s manager	Emails the manager stored on their record.
Get a learner’s result / Get a module report	Scores, pass or fail, time taken and answers.
Email me	An email to your own account address.
Message your team channel	A message to Slack, Microsoft Teams or Discord through the channel’s webhook link.

Triggers

A trigger starts a flow the moment something happens in your account. Every delivery is signed and checked, so a flow only ever runs on a real event from Reigniter.

Trigger	When it fires
Video finished / Video failed	A video is ready (with a 7-day download link), or could not be made.
Learner invited	Someone was assigned a module and sent their training page.
Learner finished a module / passed / failed	A named learner reached the end of a module. Scores are marked by Reigniter, never by the learner’s browser.
Learner overdue	A learner has not finished by their due date. Fires once per invitation.
Certificate expiring	A certificate lapses within 30 days. Set how long certificates last in the module’s settings.
Credits running low	Your balance drops to 10 credits or fewer.
